Insights within a Creative Agency

During my visit to Virgin Media O2, I spent a day at the VCCP Creative Agency in Victoria, London. This was my first experience within a creative agency and it really helped to show the huge variety of work that agencies produce.

I joined a meeting on UX & UI high level concepts at the start of the day and then went on to shadow and discuss projects with two great memebers of the agencys' UI team. We discussed reasearch methods, such as "Qualitative and Quantitative", and dug deeper into accessiblity design and some programs/software that can be useful for designers when approaching accessiblity.

We also went over a vague industry style design process which had many aspects that I recognised;

• Brand Identity - logo, colour palette etc.
• Design System - Buttons, Cards, Forms, Hover States etc.
• Components - Card components etc.
• Content - Written Content, Images, Assets etc.
• Prototype - Interactive, Figma, InVision.
• Test - Iterations.
• Build - To developers, Front-End, Back-End, SEO etc.

I found it really beneficial to see the process that the agency works to as it helped me refine my own process and ideation techniques. I am really thankful to VCCP for engaging me within the agency for the day and making me feel very welcome.
